Emergency Management

In an emergency, dial 911. If you're calling from a campus phone, dial 9-911.

• If you’re calling from a campus phone, Campus Safety & Security will automatically be alerted.
• If you’re calling from a mobile phone, also call Campus Safety & Security at 360-475-7800 so we can provide additional assistance.
• If you’re calling from an Emergency Call Box, you will be calling Campus Safety & Security dispatch directly.

Students and employees are automatically opted-in to receive alerts; visit our Campus Alerts webpage to update or add contact information.

CAMPUS ALERTS

Emergency Call Boxes are available at all three campuses and provide a way to call Campus Safety & Security for assistance during an emergency, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. They do not connect to 911.

OPERATING AN EMERGENCY CALL BOX

• The call box operates like a two-way radio or "walkie-talkie." Only one person may speak at a time.
• Push and release the button, which announces to Campus Safety & Security your call box location.
• Someone from Campus Safety & Security will respond, asking how they may assist you.
• Hold down the button to talk and then release the button to listen to the response.

Bremerton Campus

• Bldg. 15 (main entrance on east side)
• Bldg. 2 Childcare (rear parking lot)

• Bldg. 16 Res Hall (1100-B 12th St. - Lower level east and west side)
• Bldg. 17 RBS (Main Entry)
• Lot 3 (Northeast of Bldg. 7 CIC)

• Lot 5 (Midwest behind Bldg. 10)
• Lot 9 (Near Lincoln Ave. entrance)
• Clocktower (under the clock)

Poulsbo Campus

• Lower parking lot
  • west end away from the building
  • east end toward the building
• Upper parking lot (faculty/staff and drop off circle area)
• Outside Campus Safety office (lower west building entrance)

Shelton Campus

• Student Palmer Center (outside Room 107)
• Breezeway across from Child Care entrance

Olympic College has identified Emergency Assembly Areas for each building and campus.

Upon notification of evacuation of your building, evacuate the building in an orderly fashion:

• Follow any directions given by emergency personnel;
• Head towards an emergency exit;
• Use stairs, not elevators;
• Encourage those you encounter to leave as well, but do not stop unless it is safe and feasible to do so;
• Take important personal belongings if it is safe and feasible to do so;
• Assist persons with special needs if it is safe and feasible to do so;
• Go to your evacuation assembly area and check-in with designated building coordinators, staff, or supervisors; and
• If directed to by emergency personnel, proceed to a secondary assembly area if necessary.
