Career & Technical Education Dual Credit

What is CTE?

What is CTE?

Career & Technical Education (CTE) Dual Credit is a cooperative effort between K-12 schools, Olympic College, and business and labor communities. CTE empowers high school students to learn technical skills, explore careers, and pursue what they are passionate about during high school, while earning tuition-free credits to use toward their college or career education after graduation.

How does it work?

CTE Dual Credit aligns Career & Technical Education classes at the high school with Professional-Technical courses taught at Olympic College, allowing students to earn high school credits for graduation while earning college credits at the same time. In other words, students take one class at their high school and earn "dual credit" for both high school and college.
