English Professor Craig Goodman has been named the 2026 Washington Education Association Community and Technical Colleges (CTC) Educator of the Year, recognizing his outstanding dedication to student achievement and educational equity.

“His work with pre-college English students who often require additional time, care, and instructional support reflects an understanding that access and success are not evenly distributed,” said Olympic College Association of Higher Education (OCAHE) President Vicky Newsom.  “Craig has demonstrated a sustained commitment to dignity, equity, and collective advocacy during particularly complex and challenging times.”

Goodman has been part of Olympic College since 2010, making a lasting impact through his work as a full-time English faculty member.

“Being awarded WEA CTC Educator of the Year is a true privilege,” expressed Goodman. “The faculty at OC are simply amazing people, and I have been honored to serve them over the years as union negotiator and president. Working together, we make OC a stronger institution.”
