Biology is the study of living organisms, their structure, evolutionary development, behavior and life processes. Biologists also study the relationships between animals, plants, microorganisms and their environments. The Biology Department offer classes for students who are:

Olympic College offers a series of Biology courses that you can take as distribution requirements and electives towards your Associate in Science Transfer (AS-T, Track 1): Biology.

Most students who plan to transfer and pursue Biology will complete either the Associate in Science Transfer-Track 2 (AST-Track 2), or the Associate in Arts-Direct Transfer Agreement (AA-DTA): Biology. The AA-DTA degree meets statewide guidelines endorsed by 22 colleges and universities in Washington.
Requirements for transfer institutions may vary, so work with your Success Coach or a Faculty Advisor to create your academic plan.
